For those planning holiday shopping or other foreign currency transactions, UnionBank is offering a promotion that includes a reduced foreign transaction fee and bonus points or miles. This can make spending abroad or on international websites more rewarding during the festive season.

The promotion applies to both UnionBank Rewards Credit Card and UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card holders who use their cards for foreign currency transactions.

For UnionBank Rewards Credit Card Holders:

  • Promo FX Fee: 1.8%
  • Promo FX Minimum Accumulated Spend: P10,000
  • Promo Rewards/Miles Earn Rate: 3X Rewards points
  • Promo Rewards/Miles Minimum Accumulated Spend: P50,000

For UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card Holders:

  • Promo FX Minimum Accumulated Spend: P30,000
  • Promo Rewards/Miles Earn Rate: 3X UB miles
  • Promo Rewards/Miles Minimum Accumulated Spend: P100,000

How to Join:

To participate in this promotion, cardholders need to register by January 15, 2026.

  2. Register using the code provided to you via E-mail/SMS/Viber.
  3. Click on the "Join Now" button for the FX Holiday Promo.

Important Notes:

  • Regular UnionBank points or miles will be credited to your account once foreign currency transactions are posted.
  • Transactions made during the promo period will initially be charged the standard foreign service transaction fee. The difference between this and the promotional fee will be rebated to your account.
  • Bonus FX rebates and points/miles can be redeemed on the UB Treats Hub between January 16 and March 16, 2026.
  • Your rewards are expected to be credited to your account by July 15, 2026.
