If you are looking to get a new credit card, BDO is offering a way to waive your membership fees for the first three years. This applies specifically to new Gold and Classic credit card applications that meet certain spending criteria.
How to Qualify
To get the free membership reward, you need to apply for a new BDO Gold or Classic Credit Card and have it approved between June 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026. Once approved, you must activate the card and hit the minimum spend requirement within the specified spend period.
Eligibility and Exclusions
This offer is open to principal cardholders in good standing who have not cancelled any BDO credit cards in the six months prior to their new card approval.
Certain card types are not eligible for this promo, including:
- Supplementary Cards
- Virtual Cards
- Corporate Cards
- Cards issued through upgrade, conversion, replacement, or renewal
Important Notes on Spending
While most purchases count toward your spend requirement, some transactions are excluded. You cannot use the following to meet the minimum spend:
- Cash advances via ATM or over-the-counter
- Casino, betting, or gambling transactions
- Stock trading, foreign exchange, and remittance services
- Loading e-wallets like Maya or GCash
- Cash installments and balance transfers
- Reversed or cancelled transactions
- Fees and charges
For those with Dual Currency cards, US Dollar transactions will be converted to Philippine Pesos at a rate of Php60:US$1 for the computation. For Buy Now, Pay Later transactions, only the principal amount will be counted.
Terms of the Reward
If you qualify, BDO will send an SMS notification before your first anniversary. To keep the reward, your card must remain active and your account must stay in good credit standing. The reward is non-transferable and will be forfeited if the card is cancelled, converted, or upgraded.
